Iain Matthews - "Woodstock (Live)"

A performance I shot Friday night, August 13 (and yes, a black cat DID cross my path)...the legendary Iain Mathews and the classic "Woodstock". The venue, Stage On Herr, was an intimate space with game players and interesting bar clientèle, postered with lots of art work and a genial host.

Iain Matthews was a founding member of Fairport Convention, Matthews Southern Comfort, and Plainsong; as well as a long, fruitful solo career. This was shot in performance at Stage On Herr last Friday night by moi. the classic MSC version of "Woodstock"---Matthews Style.

I dieted on Iain's (then spelled "Ian") music, notably, "If You Saw Thro' My Eyes" as a teenager...he never stops making great music in a whole range of styles...including his recent jazz-leaning, "Joy" with the Searing Quartet. The guy also happens to look great...and sings in a voice years younger than his age.
